This Community Education Event will be an in-depth look into Aurora of Central New York with a presentation by their President, Ms. Debra Chaiken.  Aurora of CNY is committed to  promoting independence, opportunity and full access for individuals of all ages who are blind, visually impaired, Deaf, hard-of-hearing, late deafened and deaf blind.  You may visit their website at www.auroraofcny.org and find about their mission, their services, referrals and read stories.

Aurora may also be looking for some future Board members.  This event will help you understand these populations, give you valuable information about warning signs of hearing and vision loss for you and your loved ones, and will show you two of United Way’s 91 funded programs at Aurora:  Community Living Skills and Vocational and Employment Services for People with Vision/Hearing Loss. Please RSVP to attend this event.  Unlike our networking and social activities, this event is for members only.
